Geez... must I come up with a title for every blog entry?

I'll name this entry after Bibi then, one of the kh members whom I met up with over the weekend. More of her later.

So lets see, well, I went for my official RO session this week and there's a new group of volunteers. Samuel was like 'Dennis, you are in for it man, all gals lei. Go find your motivation to come down every week!' Little did he know, hahaha but then, didn't really get a chance to talk to HER this week. Gotta wait till the next session after my in camp training le, damn MINDEF.

So after RO, I went to meetup wih Binson, Bibi and Joel. Joel is a young lad who's still doing his NS. Bibi on the other hand, is a noisy gal who talks quite a bit but fun to be with. Like an 'lao lian', Binson calls her 'lao niu' (old cow), hahhaha but actually she's about my age la, we were just teasng her.

We had dinner, played game in a LAN shop and watched King Kong. Whoever gave this show a 4 star rating should be made to be buried in the gorilla's poo. The show was ultra boring. *pui*

After the movie, we decided to hang around, eat something and talk a bit. Big mistake! The rain just kept pouring and as Binson is riding, we were forced to keep him company and to wait for the rain to stop... so the tim goes tick tick tick and before we knew it, its dawn and its still raining! Geez, won't the sky run out of rain? So we finally decided to go off but guess what, the MRT station was closed for a major simulation exercise. The one that the gahmen was harping for weeks, said they wanna test the reactions and coordination of the various gahmen agencies in times of terrorist attack.

So I had to walk in the rain from Plaza Sing to Centrepoint to take a cab home. KNN!

First week of 2006 is almost over, so far so good. Hahaha.
A few things happened this week so this entry is kinda like a bowl of salad, I'll just write what comes to mind... hehehe.

Class resumed on Tuesday and that sucked cuz I have to drag myself to attend lessons after work and the toughest thing is to stay awake. Lucky for me, this is THE FINAL term!
The agony will be over on 14 June when I'll have my final paper. Speaking of which, I'll have to spend over $900SGD to register for exams. What the hell?

And to whoever is reading this, if you do intend to go for a UOL degree, do not, I repeat, DO NOT ever endure in Stansfield. They are good in collecting payment, but sux big time in everything else. Slow in processing of library cards, slow in updating the e-learning portal, and now, they dun even mail us the exams registration forms anymore. So fine, I'll go and collect one when I'm attending class, no problem. But guess what? They ran out of forms!!! What the FUCK?!?!? Student support, my ass!!!

So, I'm gonna commit myself to volunteering in MINDS this saturday, and hopefully will get a chance to see HER. Hmmm... still too early to write anything about that yet, so well, I'll see how it goes.

After the volunteering stuff, most probably I'm gonna meet Binson and 2 new friends from A3. The initial plan is to have dinner and watch King Kong. But that will mean missing the bowling seesion with the other volunteers and HER. Oh well...

A few of my colleagues are planning to take Jap classes. That's cool so that I dun have to attend classes alone. But there's no vacancies at the moment for the time slots that we want, so that will have to be put on hold for the moment.

And oh Jen is coming to town, with her family sometime in Jan. Hope its not like next week when I'm playing 'soldier' in Tanjong Gul Camp. Haven seen this lass in real life yet but I think she should be her usual cheeky self in A3, so looking forward to that.

Well, dats all for the moment.

2005 is a thing of the past oredi, thank goodness.
It wasn't really a good year for me, and it pretty much sux.

A series of unfortunate events '05

1. Being told that Cookie (absolutely gorgeous golden retriever who's currently happily living
with my ex) has a bladder problem and that she may have to be put to sleep as the odds of
curing her is only 50-50. Here's some pix of Cookie gal when she's still a puppy:

2. Switched jobs, after 3 and a half years in SEAB, thinking that I'm moving to greener pastures but it was not meant to be. In the previous work environment, my boss sucks, here, the whole culture sucks.

3. 2 of my friends broke off with their boyfriends, well not that its off any concern to me but it just kinda shows how fragile relationships can be. A couple could be all lovey dovey one moment and in the next, all this could be a thing of the past.

4. My own break up. Enough said about that already.

Some good stuff that happened:

1. Thanks to Jannie who 'inducted' me into volunteering. Got to make some new friends and do something meaningful at the same time.

2. Got to know some good colleagues whom I could call friends and not just working partners.

Resolution for 06:

1. To take up jap class, something which I had wanted to do but never had the chance nor the time.

2. To give my last best shot in my finals.

3. Time to move on and to keep my options open, gonna be tough but sigh, not point holding onto something that has no future.

So hello 2006!
