ARGHZ!!! Its Monday again... I'm gonna take over the Trust Funds liaoz, which is super duper sianz... Its all Greek to me but hor everyone says its easy... How can it be easy when those handling it are all leaving lei?
Anyways, realised that most of my blog entries are kinda gloomy... so I'm determined to make this less gloomy... hahah, so lets see... oh ya, a happy occassion on Saturday, attended the wedding of fellow ROvers
Ping and
Mingyi, its held at
Meritus Mandarin (did I spell it correct?) and by far, the biggest wedding dinner I have attended, heard there's 60 tables wor... I thought the presentation was very nicely done, there's even a renactment of how the groom proposed to the bride, ok, there's supposed to be 3 possible options, but the guests will never know...
As usual, the pix will be added later once our designated photographer posted them...
Haha see? A happy post... All weddings are happy occassions mah... Speaking of which, there are somemore happy occassions lined up for this year... lets see... there's
Colin and
wife in Mar
Yvonne and
Andy in May
Tow Heam and
wife in July
Valencia and
Wei Siang in Sept
Thye Ann and
Kailing in Oct
Jannie and
Kenneth in Dec
So you see, you guys are guaranteed at least 4 happy posts for the coming months... but then hor, I'll have to start saving for all those Ang Pow money le... sob sob...

The memories will always be sweet.
And you'll always have that special place in my heart.
I'll not be out of your life but will always be there, to share your happiness and to shed your tears.

How do you know if you are doing the right thing if you ended up hurting people in the process? Even if you know that its in the best interest of everyone? Or rather, you think it is in the best interest of everyone, since if it is really in the best interest of everyone, then no one should actually get hurt in the process, right?
Am I making sense to anybody?

It seems like I'm really a Hor Xin lei (God of Rain, not the blardy housefly hor...), cuz whenever I wanna plan something outdoors, be it cycling or rollerblading with friends or outings for RO, the rain will definitely come de...
Its the same thing this past Saturday when I wanna bring the members to Delta Swimming Complex for some swimming lessons... But hor, as usual lah, it had to drizzle... We almost wanna go back to our Margaret Drive hideout when the rain stopped, so I happily lead my little army to the swimming pool... We did manage to get into the pool for like one hour before it started pouring so its not that bad afterall... Still keeping my fingers crossed cuz I have another session this coming Saturday >.<' After the cool dip in the pool and since its a rainy day, we decided to go for steamboat dinner
opposite Shaw Towers, at the
崇庆火锅 (chong3 qing4 huo3 guo1) But as luck would have it, the place was jammed packed and we had to have our dinner indoors where its hot as hell... For those who know me,
Dennis is one who cannot tahan heat, so can you imagine my agony having to eat 麻辣火锅 (ma2 la4 huo3 guo1) in a room which is almost like a sauna? Erm, actually got non spicy soup base too lah, but still a torture... Its pretty amazing that even though everyone was complaining how hot it is, its the guys who were perspiring like crazy, the gals hardly broke a sweat...
After dinner, we went
TCC at the other end of the road to jus nua there. And we saw the owner of the
崇庆火锅 (chong3 qing4 huo3 guo1)... Yupz, we saw
周崇庆 (zhou1 chong3 qing4), hahah, ok that was a bit crappy...
So anyway, we ended just talking cock for the rest of the evening, we were so boh liaoz that we had a memory contest, naming all the ancient TCS or rather SBC shows that we used to watch as a kid...
Charles is a walking encyclopedia on this topic, he can name you all the 'care-lei-fare', the theme songs and their original singers and can even sing the blardy theme songs!!! *shakes head in disbelief*
p.s. Some of you can't see the chinese characters so I have included the hanyu pinyin... sigh, dunno wats wrong with this blog skin, cannot include comments too de... sob sob

'
我的天空今天有点灰...'*The S.H.E song continues in the background...*
Sigh... too much rain for too long, its starting to get on my nerves. Not that I dun like the cooling effect that comes with the rain.
As you all know, you can throw me in the freezer and I can survive, ask me to eat a bowl of hot soupy noodles in a non-air-conditioned coffeeshop, I'd rather die... lolz ok that's a bit exaggerating but the point is, all that rain and gloomy sky will get to you eventually.
It makes you lazy and lethargic for a start but you will find it comforting at first as you can enjoy the feeling of staying at home, lying in bed all day, read that book that you always wanted but 'dun have the time', finish on that pile of DVDs that you have bought but have been gathering dust since or just chatting nonsense with your family members...
So it goes on for a few weekends and you begin to long for the sun that seems to have gone for a vacation. You start to want to go outdoors but the constant drizzling dampens any spontaneous ideas to go have fun, so you stay at home to surf the net while listening to the radio but then most songs are sad love songs. You start to get affected by the lyrics, you start to look out the window and all you see is the grey grey sky and the rain pattering your window and the chilly wind... Then you will start to feel moody and depressed all of a sudden, quite out of the blue...

爱,我却不能够给你我全部,我能给的却又不是你想拥有的,我们不适合也不想认输,好几次我们抱着彼此都是想要哭... ...'*coos Sam Lee in the background*

This is the 2nd time that I have decided to do something crazy during Team Activity (TA for short) for my weekly volunteer sessions. The first time was when I decided to do Wushu and I knew nuts about the martial arts except for a few moves that I picked up from a brief 15 minutes' intensive training from
Huan Cui who has since returned to UK for her studies...
Lucky for me, the members enjoyed those sessions and I have managed to pull it off (partly thanks to my unarmed combat training during NS days)
So this time round, after running out of ideas, I have decided to do some kickboxing instead, and of cuz as usual, I know nuts about kickboxing... Good thing
Nancy and
Jieting decided to help out by showing me some moves and special thanks to my 2 lovely assistants,
Ling Ling and
Lily (Nancy's cousin and sis), the Denster managed to pull it off again... hahah... oh yeah and special thanks to
Charles for capturing another set of super 'sey' pix...
With 2 more months till the end of my term as TAGL, what other crazy ideas can I come up with? Hehehe
Super side kick, Lily looking on with concern at the back, worried that I may sprain my back perhaps? Close up shot of the same kick
Now kick to the other side Another shot in the classical black n white
Posing with my pretty assistants (Ling Ling on the left and dats Lily on the right)

So I have been reading the blog of this
Queen for quite a while now and guess what? I actually saw her last Friday near Boon Lay MRT station! I mean, she may not be as famous or infamous as
Xiaxue or
Miss Izzy but it is still fasinating to spot someone that you have heard or in my case read so much about, the feeling is quite different from meeting a Mediacorp celeb, maybe that's because they are erm, well, celebrities...
Queen's style of writing is humourous and yet not as 'commercialised' as
Xiaxue, but maybe that's because, like me, we are writing with our friends in mind, i.e. we actually know who our readers are, so there's no need to exaggerate or to write in such a way that it appeals to the masses... But wait, why am I fascinated with meeting my 'friend', you ask?
Actually,
Queen is not my friend but my friend recommended this blog to me, and it is this friend who is actually a friend of
Queen... hahah the wonders of living on this little red dot is that somehow, everyone could be linked to someone you know, like a Friendster's network...
And therefore, let me write a little bit about this friend (hahah... see, I have managed to start your autobiography afterall)
The name is
Rainbow Lim, born in 1984
Hobbies: Sleeping, Eating, Watching TV, Shopping (sigh... typical boring girlish hobbies... hahah)
Likes: purple, winnie the pooh, zaizai, precious moments, tatty bear
Dislikes: vegetables, bananas, pineapples, fish and babies
A sun shine girl-next-door who is adorable and cute and bubbly (most of the time)
Erm well, actually also dunno her long enuf to really write a lot so well... any guys interested in getting her contacts, let me know.. hahaha
p.s. There Miss Lim, as instructed, must treat me if you managed to get hot dates wor...
p.p.s. Miss Lim just wanted me to mention her in my blog and is not really desperately looking for hot dates, sorry guys =p

2007 in Ah Geok's Department started off with 2 resignations. My dear Auntie Leng Leng will be the 3rd if she managed to sign her letter of appointment today, then I'll officially be the most senior MSO in FAC liaoz. This would translate to
1) People from all over office will be looking for me and think I can do what she has been doing for the past 6 years since I'm her 'covering officer' and the next most senior (pls hor, I'm only 1yr 7mths old lor)
2) Having to coach 2 young gals in their jobs, which I can but not quite the right person to do so (refer part in green)
3) Assist in year end closing in March for most major modules in NFS because (refer to part in green)
To avoid the above, I'll have to tender latest by 1 Feb. It'll be an easy option if I have a job offer by then. That leaves me with another 26 days.
Some of you may ask why don't I stay on first and leave when I have found a new job? I guess the answer boils down to this:
Pride vs Reality
Here's why:
Issues on pride
1) For those who have been following my entries, you would have known the disagreements between the management (namely WR) and us MSOs. So, since our advise and suggestions and concerns and threats have all fallen on deaf ears, why should I stay and help out with the closing while all others have left?
2) Since there have been an influx of new staff, it is clear that they are planning for contingencies (finally), meaning, after the year end, I'll be of no value, since the young ones would have gone through one cycle and will have one whole year to learn the ropes in anticipation of the next closing
Issues on reality
1) Since management is already aware of the fact that the MSOs who have gotten their degree will leave sooner or later, there should be no reason why we will be considered for promotion this April.
2) Following reason no. 2 from above, my contract may or may not be renewed in June after my 2-year contract is up.
3) Of course I can choose to ignore the issues on pride and endure through until I have a job offer or June, so at least I'll still be getting a salary and the performance bonus and maybe the mid year bonus, if my contract is being renewed. The downside of it all is that I'd be competing with a batch of fresh grads if leave in June lah
Dilemma dilemma dilemma...
