The most encouraging words to hear from your staff is when they tell you:
''Are you moving anywhere? I hope not cuz I do not want to change boss. Actually I'm thinking of going AR / GL but then I think think, dun want, AP better..."

Den ish going for reservist again tmr... Super duper sianz... Actually this one is to make up for my previous deferment but hor, I have a bad feeling abt this...
My original ICT (in-camp-training) is for 2 weeks which in army lingo, is a 'high key'...
Digress: All reservist personnel has to complete 7 high keys (training more than 7 days) and 3 low keys (training less than 7 days)... Poor me, has done 3 official low keys, meaning the rest of my reservist life is very de chiam one...
Ok, so back to my make up training, so far, I have defered twice for my high key training (not chiao keng ok? 1st time is cuz got exam, 2nd time cuz boss say cannot go), but so far, my make up trainings are all low keys, so hor... if end of the day, I still owe SAF high keys then how ar? Lugi leh...
The one I'm having this time round sounds very fishy also... ask me go back take dunno simi flag for dunno simi parade... So I assume is rehearse for parades only lah? Got so hor si one meh? Like that 5 days 'make up' can count for one high key le mah? Hmmm...
Anywayz... better than go into the jungle and hunt for Mas Selamat right?
So until then... take care peeps...
p/s: Thanks to those who are concerned about my 'thinking' process... *heartz* u all...

If you have a second shot at something, would you still choose the same path/ make the same decision?
Or would you choose to make a different choice altogether? A 'once-bitten-twice-shy' mentality or a 'devil-may-care-and-to-hell-with-rules-and-social-norms' attitude?
Do you believe in Fate, Chance, Karma, Cycles and that everything happens for a reason?
p.s. Den has been thinking random stuff recently and so pardon me if i sound more chim than usual... hehehe

The weirdest concoction of feelings:
The rush of adrenaline and excitement in anticipation,
The savoury bliss and time frozen moment as it unfolds
The bitter sweet after taste when it's over...

Think I have been having too much wine recently... Hope I'm not turning into an alcoholic... Had a wine appreciation night last evening with my dept at WineBos... yes the same place twice within 7 days...
But well, the bosses seem to be having fun and the rest were intrigued by the fermentation of various types of wine, wine etiquette, and so on... All in all it was a fun evening for everyone but too bad I forgot to bring my trusty Fuji and I haven gotten to fully appreciate my k810i to risk taking pictures in a dimly lit setting...
Princess of the North may be interested to know that smelling the wine is actually known as 'nosing' and the way to really taste a wine is to rinse your mouth with it, like brush teeth like that before you swallow and when people say having wine that goes with food, it means, to sip wine when food is still in your mouth and swallow the 2 together... hahaha chim lei...

Had lunch today with Ah Na (hahah heng she seldom online, else she'll kill me for calling her that) and Xiao Mei Orginal... Come to think of it, over the years, people called me 'bro' during the different phrases of my life but Xiao Mei Original is the only one who's really like a sister to me after all these years and who still calls me bro...
It's farnie how time has passed but whenever I meet up with the gals, time seems to be moving backwards and it's like back to the good old secondary school days... It's hard to believe that one is getting married and one is gonna be a mum in like 6mths' time...
Before I go on and on and get all mushy abt this... well it's nice meeting up and dun say dun have, I shall plan for our next quarterly meet ups in June... heheh

Unless they go ga-ga over 裴勇峻, ok lah... the 造型quite cool but...
I totally dig 李智雅... Cute huh?
The show features some really nice songs too...

Read from My Paper that the LTA is finally asking for tenders to construct 1.5m 'half height' barriers for our above ground MRT stations... And that is after how many suidcide attempts and accidents???
Shouldn't the gahmen have considered this when they decided to build the MRT eons ago??? But I suppose it's better late than never... With the ever increasing cost of living and inflation and what not, I just hope people dun start 'falling' onto the tracks...
And erm, why only for 3 selected stations 'with plans to extend to all above ground stations by 2012'??? Build safety barriers oso must test meh, or must see if it's cost effective??? But that could be solved easily mah... just add another few cents to our fares lor... We are already used to it mah, so long as it's something useful, unlike the stupid TV mobile and airconditioned bus interchanges...

放下掌门之位, 感觉轻松多了!
Seriously it's not easy being the chairperson of ROvers and I have to admit that I had not really done much during my one year term...
It's a good thing that the comm has been formed and the new chairperson is someone experienced, dedicated and passionate about voluteerism... Hopefully, with his new comm, much can be achieved in the coming year...
Gambatte everyone!!! And fret not, though I'll not be able to show up on such a regular basis anymore, I'll still be contributing in whatever ways I can...

There's a new eating joint in town that's bringing in the crowds so decided to check it out... Shokudo, located at the new basement extension of Raffles City... I was there around 6.30pm or and surprisingly there was no queue...
It's basically a Marche/ Village concept type of eating place, except that the theme is Japanese food, although they do have some western fusion such as burger/ fries and pizzas... But hor, for the price (again modelled after Marche/ Village), I was disappointed at the lack of variety and the taste was very so-so...
Which was why I cannot fathom the ridiculously long queue outside when I left and that was around 7.00pm...
My review? Not worth the queue nor the money... There are other Japanese restaurants with much better food at roughly the same price...

Hahaha, came across these pix from some blogs I read... Hiliarious... And from the way things are going with the investigation, it seems that our so called, elite Home Team isn't as elite as wat the gahmen makes them out to be, and here's why...
And erm, after my previous entry on lesbians and gays, I was on the way home last nite when I saw this he-she/ she-he near the Tampines MRT, the bugger was in front of me, and I can tell from the figure that it should be a guy, but he-she was walking in a very gu-niang way and was dressed in hipster jeans and those wide necked t-shirt which bares one shoulder (dunno wat its called but definitely oni gals wear those)...
At first I tot the he-she must be those metrosexual beings who have no qualms about walking around in gucci sling bags and like to sashay when they walk as if they are on the runway, but then I noticed passerbys stealing glances and having that astounded look on them, so being the kaypoh Singaporean that I am, I picked up my pace and tried to steal a glance myself...
Nabei, I saw boobs on the bugger and mind you, quite a sizeable pair as well... OMFG!!! It's the first freaking time I felt like puking looking at a pair of boob can!!! Wanna try to take a paparazzi shot but I dun have my trusted Fuji with me and my bloody Nokia phone's nite mode sux big time =(
Oh, did I mention that the bugger is a Malayu? Could be Mas Selamat in disguise... hmmm damn, only when I was on the MRT and I heard the all familiar 'if you notice any suspicious article or person, please inform our staff or call 999...' that it dawned upon me that I probably should have... hahaha

Was on the MRT last nite on the way home and caught a 'couple' smooching... This is supposed to be a normal sight, although some will scorn at this public display of affection... But in this case, the 'guy' is actually a gal who was dressed up as a guy... In layman's term, a butch...
Well how do I know it's a gal and not some pretty face like:
Erm well, from wat I observe, butches are generally the uglier species of gals who well are kinda tomboyish and over weight and since they have to cover up whatever bust they have, they usually dress like this:
Which makes me wonder... Are they really lesbians or are they simply confused over their sexuality? Accordingly to Wikipedia, the definition of a lesbian is a woman who is romantically and sexually attracted only to other women.
That being the case, in theory, they do not have to so dress like a guy rite? If one of them (the butch) likes to cross dress as a guy, then in by the definition, he or (is it she) may like to think of himself/herself as a guy and in this case, liking a gal doesn't neccessarily mean he/she is a lesbian...
And for the female partner, liking a gal who dresses and behaves like a guy doesn't quite justify her as a lesbian as well becuz well, she's just being together with a penis-less 'guy'... You dun catch lesbians in porno videos screwing some ugly butch rite? For those who cringe at the word 'porno', please, dun tell me you have never ever in any form or media see some porn before...
Come to think of it, gays are slightly different ... I mean gays dun dress like gals mah, there are gays who work hard in gyms and have bodies that other straight guys will kill for. For those who are 'ah guas' or guys who are very feminine, well they just happen to behave more like gals but that doesn't neccessarily mean they like guys, even if they do like guys, they dun try to dress like gals mah...
Well they bottom line is I'm not judging or discriminating against them but I'm just curious at why they behave they way they do...

Our gahmen said that there 'was of no imminent danger to the public" and "there is no information that he has any plans that threaten public safety", which was why we were oni informed of this bugger's escape after 4 hours...
Ok lor, if you say no danger... but now I think the gahmen is panicking cuz he is still somewhere out there and the telco companies are doing their part by sending his images to our handphones and emails:
But hor, no offense to anyone in particular, they all look alike to me so I dun think I'll know him even if he is staring at me in the face, especially if he had since disguised himself... What? You think he stupid meh will walk around like that, and especially since now the whole world knows he limps oso...
Then I came across this at talkingcock.com and I'm mildly surprsied that the writers share my view... hahaha...
And since this concerns national security, tot I should also do my bit by spreading words to help keep a lookout for this fugitive (poster courtesy of talking cock)... Hmmm, just curious, will the minister kanna sack or will he automatically resign leh? Maybe not, the Defence one oso still around after his commandos killed someone during training...

I wonder how does it feel like to be born on 29 Feb? It must be pretty sad to be celebrating your birthdays only once in every 4 years.
On the other hand, if your boyfriend's or girlfriend's birthday happens to be on 29 Feb, then you are very heng, for you will only have to worry about planning for the event once every 4 years... hiack hiack... I suppose getting married on 29 Feb isn't too bad either... hahah
Speaking of which, this bugger who was born on 1 March gets to celebrate his bdae twice...
Our way of showing brotherly affection... hahah..

Shenzhen - Hong Kong Part 5: End of vacation The last day of our vacation was spent going to more shopping districts but then there wasn't much to buy during our trip other than in 罗湖 when we bargain like crazy for thumbdrives, game catridges, remote controlled helicopters, speakers, bags and shoes for the gals...
But anyway, 购物公园 is Shenzhen's equivalent of Takashimaya and therefore as expected, the price is almost, if not steeper than those in SG...
After another crazy nite of beer drinking, we have to check out the next day and began our journey back home, did I mention that the cost of staying in the hotel was cheap? Well it's until we checked out that we found that there was some hidden cost... It's freaking expensive to transfer calls between rooms lor!!! And we took for granted that it's free!!! 231RMB for each call!!! Nabei...
Anyway, lesson learnt is either we check with the concierge in future if inter room transfer calls are FOC or, we just walk over to our room mates, knock on the doors and just talk by the door...
On our way back to Macau International Airport, this is when our driver exerted his influence and whisked us through the custom, again effortlessly...
Our flight back to SG was delayed so we killed time by spending the rest of our RMB/ HKD on tibits at the duty free and taking more pix...
We were almost bored to death and ended up taking these shots, think the other passengers in the airport must have tot we were off our bonkers...
That's it for our adventure... Until the next trip...

Shenzhen - Hong Kong Part 4: The Peak and Mdm Tussards After another night of drinking (We actually managed to drink 60 cans of beer among the 6 of us over 3 nites...), it's another day of touring, eating and phototaking...
I totally heart this fast food outlet which is as common as MacDonalds
This breakfast set cost about SGD4.. the century egg porridge was absolutely yummilicious...
After breakfast, we walked walked see see around some of the nearby shopping districts but it had been drizzling the whole morning so it's kinda dampened our moods...
Until we saw this... It was supposed to be lunch time but we ended up eating deserts...
This mango-ish desert was voted the best by us...
The gals were all excited when we were near 女人街...
But the same can't be said for the guys...
And because of the wet weather, we were saved from what possibly could be another 2 hours's shopping and we proceeded to 中环, the CBD of Hong Kong and where our destination is
The tram that took us to the Peak and Mdm Tussards...
HK's tycoon and Aili's big big balls, I mean boss...
Posing alongside Bruce Lee...
Ah nia's favorite celebrity couple...
Cheryl will kill for this and I realised Jay isn't that tall... This replica looked kinda goofy though... must be made when he just entered into showbiz
Another shortie celeb... Aaron Kwok... hahah that boosts up my self image immediately...
Andy Lau...
Leon Lai...
Korean hearthrob 裴勇峻...
Some celebs who had 'moved on'... The late Princess Diana
Leslie...
and Teresa... And oh ya, not forgetting the most talked about gals in town at the moment... Cecilia aka Evan's dearest 柏芝
And Gillian (the one in red)... I have always liked Ah Sa better though...
Me and Bernice having a go at how it feels like being a congressman...
And while we were on the political scene, how many of us can do this to LKY? hahahah
This was intended for me to look like part of the painting but they said I looked like a wizard from Harry Potter instead, no matter how hard I tried...
The gals did a better job
Another highlight for this trip... pix taking with the whole CBD nite view as the backdrop...
