Had our Annual General Meeting at Changi Village over the weekend, actually on Saturday lah..
Time flies, it has been a year since I'm the Team Activities Group Leader for ROvers. Never really thought that I would end up doing volunteer work, much less taking on any posts in the Committee. But take up post I did and even got 2 'Star awards' during my stint, heheh... Its quite flattering to clinch the
'Most Charismatic Male Volunteer Award' actually, as for the other one award mah... Its the
'Most Couplish-Looking Pair Award', meaning the most couplish-looking pair who are not real couples in real life... It feels kinda awkward to be receiving it lor...Ok, I shall not tell you kay pohs out there who my better half is, if you can't see the pix clearly and the name is smudged, well its meant to be that way =p

Anyway, kanna arrowed to be the Chairperson for the coming work year, would actually like to believe that the others nominated rather than arrowed, so well, with great power comes great responsibilites... Gonna be a busy year ahead, after which hopefully I can take a backseat le... Not that I dun wish to contribute but rather, I dun like to be in the lime light, *hint hint*...
Went Ubin the next day with my Thursday-Clementi-Sports-Complex-Badminton-Gang (TCSCBG). The fun part about this gang is that its always changing. There's always new players every now and then, being friends and friends of friends, etc, much like a real life version of Friendster network. There are cases whereby we could be playing with each other for a few sessions and yet we dunno or dun remember the names... yeah its that dynamic... hahah
And so, as can be expected, its quite a challenge trying to organise any outings for TCSCBG, but luckily, the trip was a success. Nothing exciting abt the trip lah, just a typical cycling trip...
The only embarrassing thing is that we got lost a few times until I kanna arrowed to be the path finder cuz I seemed to be the only one who knows map reading, having been a Guardsman during my army days, some of the others are M'sians so dun have to do NS, while the rest are either from Navy (so know how to read stars and not maps... duh...) or vocations that dun require chiong shua (lucky bastards) ... And all this while, I thought they were just having fun roaming around the island... Tamade, all those track slopes for nothing... But then my poor legs needed the exercise...
One thing abt hitting the gym for vain dudes like me is, we usually work on the upper body and neglect the lower part, cuz no one is gonna look at our legs mah... hahah, which is also the reason why my legs are hurting like hell rite now...
