V-day, a clever marketing ploy by evil capitalists targeting at the ladies in an attempt to drain the wallets of guys...

14th Feb is being positioned as the ONLY day in the year where guys professed their undying love for their gal frens... And as such, the female species usually will have high expectations of how a romantic v-dae celebration should be... Good luck to the guy of the gal who can't show off her bouquet of flowers like some trophy they walk down Orchard Road during this day...

While gals are expecting to be treated like the little princesses they derserved to be, guys, on the other hand, will have to go thru the annual torture of paying ridiculous money for a bouquet of flowers which will last at most 3 days, come up with an itinerary of where to go, what to do, and what to eat (and most often than not, again pay ridiculous amount of money for what would have been priced at a fraction of the cost during non v-days)...

Some may scored a hit at the end of the nite if they do it rite, others will incur the wrath of a very displeased gal fren if they do it wrong... Oh well, endure thru it guys... come 15th Feb, things will hopefully be back to normal...

The only really happy ones at the end of all this are really the capitalists... Like I always say, V-day is evil...
