Actually after the test, I wanted to go back take my car and then go fetch TSO after her facial at Amara in Tanjong Pagar, but I got stuck at Bedok Interchange for not 15min, not 30min, not even 45min but 1 fucking long hour, waiting for Bus 87!!!
Can someone pls explain to me how is that even possible? And it was not some graveyard hours ok? It's 6 freaking 30 pm! Hello? Rush hour? What's all this bullshit about asking people to switch to public transport to save the environment or to cut down congestion?
If the MRT breaks down, the operator gets fined. If the bus is delayed, can they be fined as well? For MRT, they have display boards telling people the estimated time that the next train will arrive. Although it's not entirely accurate but at least I know, the longest I can expect is 8min or so. For bus, how we know that we would not get delayed and that we can be on time for whatever appointment we have? Who should be held responisible if SBS Transit, for some reason, couldn't get a driver to drive the bus?
In the end, I boarded the bus at 7.30pm and it took me another 45min to get home since it was raining and traffic was crawling. Dearest TSO decided to come to Hougang and meet me for dinner instead, despite the heavy rain =)
It was about 9pm or so when we eventually settle down for some Ajisen noodles but at least we managed to salavge our date. *hearts*
