Let's say if you had taken a first bite of what seems to be a real juicy apple, and you see a worm wiggling out where you had just taken a bite. Sure it will leave you with a bad taste.
Question: How long will you take before you will attempt to bite into another apple?Well, you can argue that how long one takes depends on a few factors:
1) How old one was when one bit into the wormy apple cuz well, traumatic experiences leave the most impression in young minds.2) Whether it was your first attempt at eating an apple. Suppose it was your very first apple, do you equate all other apples to be bad?To make things easier, lets just say you were really young and it was indeed your very first apple and the incident resulted in you having such a great phobia with apples (appletrophic?) that it took you say like 5 years before you attempt to bite into another one (good one this time) before you realised that apples are actually tasty.
Now then, you met someone who had the same experience as you but that person maybe took 5 days to make a 2nd attempt into biting another apple.
Would you applaud his/her bravery or would you scorn at his/her recklessness? Would you insist on your view that 5 years is a sufficient amount of time needed to rid yourself of that horrid taste and anything less than that is abosolutely unacceptable?
The above scenario may seem a bit ridiculous but well, there really are cases where people judge others based on their own experiences and so called beliefs and so much so that they can pretty much be blinded from everything else.
And I suppose blessed are the ones who can see past this veil which tends to cloud our vision of greater things that lie beyond.
