It's being a while since my last update.

Nothing particularly exciting has been happening, well mayb except for Lehman Brothers going bankrupt and Merrill Lynch got bought over by Bank of America and AIG caused quite a bit of a scare in all of us by NEARLY going bankrupt, which luckily it didn't, for the time being. NB, I have like 3 policies with AIA and 1 auto insurance with AHA. If AIG goes bankrupt, it's almost as good as me going bankrupt too.

It's kinda ironic that the ang mohs always do a lot of yakity yak on how their way of doing things is the best way and then their top banks and finanical institutions fell one by one. Whatever happened to their standards and policies and procedures and controls and transparency and what-have-them?

Something closer to home and equally ridiculous, the longest underground tunnel (and I assume possibly the most expensive too) in Southeast Asia aka KPE is gonna be opened for use but in my opinion, they might as well dun build the expressway, if it was designed to ease traffic in the first place.

First of all, there are like 10 speed cameras in operation to make sure vehicles travel at a speed of 70km/hr. So hello? If cars are only allowed to travel at such a slow speed then sure there will sure be congestion right? No worries, there's always the good old ERP to solve the problem. 16 more gantries to be set up for this 12km stretch of 'expressway' from Tampines to East Coast, so that means an average of 1 ERP gantry per less than 1km of the expressway. It is gonna be soooo expensive to travel along that stretch of road but of cuz, our LTA very understanding one, they only build the gantries on standby nia, and they really hope the congestion will not be so bad lor, cuz they also dun wish to turn on the gantries you know?

And then there is something closer to me. ICA just sent me a notice to get my IC replaced. Damn it, this is like the ultimate reminder that I'm gonna join the 30ish club soon and by soon I mean less about 3 hrs away =(
And to add salt to injury, I have to pay $10 to get it replaced. WTF?
