Another epic blockbuster about the world coming to an end.
As far as such movies go, the special effects were awesome but the story plot lacks orginality.
Same earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and a bunch of ordinary people turned heroes when the time calls for it.
Not that I'm saying this movie sucks, on the contrary I quite enjoyed all 157min of it.

Just that maybe the film makers can think of some other ways that the world can come to an end, instead of natural disasters.
Even viral epidemics seem a bit stale after a while, cuz most the time, this would involve scientists experimenting on some virus for a bio warfare and some jackass decides to steal it and selling it to various gahmen and then somehow, the virus is leaked, whether intentional or not.
If not, then it would be some scientist discover some new strains of dunno wat virus in some rain forests in the Amazon then got infected and before you know it, it spreads like the H1N1.
For a change, maybe can have something along the theme of Final Destination bah, hahah although I'm not sure how Death can take on the massive task of taking everyone on Earth instead of a few teenagers at a time.
Or how about something more subtle such as a biological crisis whereby humans slowly lose the ability to reproduce, make it all living things. Then slowly but surely, the end of the world will come. But hor, how to fill 157min of screen time if the world takes a few generations to be wiped out?
Well, until another Steven Spieberg comes along, I guess I'll have to be contented with nature themed way of ending the world. But then, can please dun everything oso start and end with the big U S of A?
