Read the news recently about this suposedly well established pianist who left S'pore years ago and managed to 'siam' national service. So now when he finally decides to return to the land that he had forsaken years ago, the gahmen welcomes him home with a mere $5,000. I mean what the fuck???

If I were to say, hey, I dun wanna go reservist anymore can? I think the reply will be 'Sure, I'll slap you with a fine so harsh that you will never be able to pay, then I'll simply court martial you and charge you AWOL, so you will get to enjoy an all expenses paid getaway in our lovely detention barracks and when you get out, we'll serve you with another notice and I'll see you in camp 6 months later. Thank you and have a nice day, sir, erm I mean Corporal!'
