Being 'arrowed' to perform national duty at the nomination for the general elections. Quite an experience, even though I was practically bored to tears. I'm supposed to be a cashier, to collect 13.5k worth of cash or cheque from those aspiring candidates. But heng ar, they had already paid the deposit before going to the centre, so basically, the various party were there to hand in their application forms.
Got up close nd personal with the MP of Tampines and Hougang, but not very de impressed lei. Maybe it will be different if its Lao Lee or Small Lee or Lao Goh... hahaha.
So anyway, for the first time, I'll get a chance to vote on 6 May. Not exactly thrilled at the thought of queueing but hey, everyone gotta vote at least once in their lifetime to experience the feeling of deciding someone's fate with the vote that you cast... but then, now with all the SuperStar/Idol thingy, voting is no longer really sacred in that sense, cuz people can get to vote as and when they want now... eh ok voting a SuperStar and a Government may be different but to average people who dun particularly gives any hoots abt politics, its basically the same thing la...
