The pix that was supposed to be posted... heheh
Farewell Dinner and KTV for Daniel and FionHave I told you guys that I have never gone out with the accountants from Ah Geok's Dept before? Well, that's partly due to the organisational culture whereby the accountants are deemed more superior than the other organisms in office and that the support officers (oh, now we are called Accounts Officers, used to be Accounts Payable Assistants, nah bey, sounds like a blardy cashier can?) are treated as mere office boys and gals, so of course there will be tension and some hostility at work and as a result, the support officers do not usually mix around with teh accountants outside the context of work... damn sad rite?
So anyway, there are always exceptions, people like
Daniel,
Ee Lynn and
Rachel, the few accountants that I actually talked to and can be called friends instead of just working acquaintance, so when its time for
Daniel and
Fion's farewell, I actually volunteered to organise a gathering on Friday...
Another reason why I do not mix with them, or rather, join them for activities after work. These poor souls will not leave office till way after offficial working hours. Cuz of you-know-who lah, most of them work till like 8pm, 9pm or some even till 10pm on Fridays. I know some of you out there may find it a norm to work overtime, but hor people, gahmen servants generally do not so late lor, at least not in the other gahmen agencies which I came from...
Well so anways, we had dinner at some dunno Hong Kong simi cafe at Marina Square, the one besides QiLi (the store selling nasi lemak and laksa) and then we went KBox...
Among those who attended the gathering, some had already gained salvation and had left Ah Geok's evil clutches, and then there were some poor souls like Kang Wei who are serving out their bonds and will suffer for quite some time more...
The KTV session was quite entertaining, those who had left (
Sok Fen and
Grace) purposely chose songs with lyrics that sounds like rubbing salt to the wounds for people like me and
Kang Wei and
Yi Qian who are still stuck there... Some e.g.
“
我要快乐,我要能睡得安稳...”
“
至少我走得比你早...”
"
握着你手,坚持到最后一秒钟...”
Kang Wei, at this point had enuf and returned with a song of his own,
“
烈日当空,我吃得起苦...”
All in all, we had a fun time...
Boys' Nite Out After ROThis week's RO very pathetic, most of the gang went for Night Safari cuz Guifa got lobang for cheap tickets, I think its $10 or something, so we have no after dinner activites... so sianzzz.
So a few of us did something very bo liaoz...
Marcus jioed
Peter out, citing the reason that I wanna buy car so go turf city look see look... kauz... Lim Peh where got money buy car now? Can oni see see mah...
But anyway,
Weiling, and
Weili joined us oso, so we ended up in turf city eventually... We entertained ourselves by looking at the cars and 意思意思 ask the dealers some questions... You guys know the difference between a Honda Jazz and a Honda Fit? The former is made in Thailand and the later is made in Japan, and the other diffence is in the rear light... One is red white red and the other is just white and red... Pricing from parallel importer ranged from 50.2k to 58.2k lei... although they give sama sama the same things lei... Super nice lei... Definitely my dream car... Very gian liaoz...
HOW? HOW? HOW?
We go eat crispy prata at 6th Ave after that... Eat and talk cock and then realised many chio bus go the Brazil cafe next door... Then we decided to have another guys outing there soon... muhahahah... As we were talking cock over prata and teh tariks, a taxi was driving past us quite fast and actually veered off course, mounted the road divider and ripped off part of its chasis frame!!! Luckily no one was crossing the road at that point... Is the driver drunk of did he doze off at the wheel? No one knows becoz as no one was hurt, nobody bothered to find out oso, the cabby just moved his vehicle to the side of the road and made a phone call, possibly calling his company to report the case bah... Some slight excitement for the evening... heheh...
