Ever heard of the saying 'Thy Greatest Enemy is Thyself?' Ok ok, the 'thy' is used to sound more shakespearean but anyways that's not the point.
Dennis the Shrink was at work again last nite when I suddenly realised that its so easy giving advise to people but when the same stuff happened to me, I was at a complete loss of wat to do.
Why is it so hard to see the truth when the subject is yourself? Its amazing how people always seem to 'know' the people around them, even though they are not really close or they have not known each other for very long.
I, for one can seem to read into people's personalities like an open book and can tell them what they would most likely to do under a given set of circumstances and its usually accurate...
But Dennis finds it hard to advise Dennis and tell Dennis what Dennis can do under the same given set of circumstances. Sometimes there is this outer me, the one where other sees you and how you would want others to see you and there is this inner me, the one who I'm really am inside and they dun seem to agree all the time...
Confused? Say for eg, you are attending a boring class and the inner you tells you to leave since its boring and its a waste of time but the outer you thinks its not a good idea cuz first of all, non of the other classmates are leaving and you are worried that the lecturer will 'mark' you for leaving...so in the end, you'll most likely spent the rest of the class debating with yourself...
Hahaha, actually dun really know the point of this entry... another case of the inner vs the outer self, dunno what to blog but feel like blogging... Hope u guys dun get too blur after reading this wor...
