On the second day of lunar new year, noticed the fruits that we need to offer 'Ah Put' has a special meaning one.., From the right to the left, we have pomelo, oranges and pears, the sounds of the names of these fruits in mixture of cantonese and hokkien seems to signify ' You Gam Lai', translated into '有金来'... Hmm Ah Put got the hint or not... heheh
Keith and me decided to display our amateurish culinary skills and attempted at dinner... So this is what we have whipped up:
Hahah the ingredients all sunk to the bottom... Color not very nice... A not very successful attempt at '一锅熟'
Erm... the steamfish actually supposed to look very nice de... the butter fingers slipped while trying to bring the fish out from the wok and almost sent it crashing to the floor but the table is there to save the day... er... fish, so it ended up not quite the way we would want it to >__<
