While most of my friends are in the midst or the final moments of yet another term or final term of examinations, Den is going back to school all over again.

It's ironic how I have managed to dodge and siam and/or survived the subjects that I hated the most during my school days (which is anything mathematical) and then I ended up being in the finance/ accounting sector.

Still remember in my secondary school days when I dreaded attending Elementary Maths/ Additional Maths classes. Used to copy homework instead of doing them and studying for tests/ exams were a nightmare. I was damn demoralised when my classmates smiled with glee whenever they get a logarithm question for Add Maths exams but I'd frown cuz I have never ever passed any questions on logarithm in my entire secondary school life. And for your info, log was Chapter One lor..

Somehow by some divine intervention, I managed to get an A2 for E Maths and B3 for Add Maths during my O levels. With an aggregate of 14 points, I could have gone on to the JC-Uni route but I decided to opt for a Biz diploma instead cuz I dread going thru simi 'C Maths', 'F Maths' in JC.

Even while in Poly, my accounting/ finance/ statistic modules always got the lowest scores (I'm still thanking my lucky stars that I actually passed them). Entering the workforce (or more specifically the gahment sector), soon realised that a diploma isn't going to bring me very far and hence, decided to get a degree via part time studies.

And of cuz once again, I opted the easy way out and got a Biz Deg. Of cuz there will be the foundation quantitative based modules but these were just elementary. Once I got thru them, I'll just have to select the qualitative modules which I'm strong at and tada, a 3rd class honours student was born 3 years later (sigh, 3rd class cuz once again I juz scraped thru the dreaded modules)

But Fate always like to 'ka jiao' people with her tricks. After bumming around for a few years, I landed in Ah Geok's Dept doing finance/ accounting related work and cuz of that, I guess my own fate is sealed in this industry when I moved on to a junior managerial position after I bid farewell to Ah Geok.
Once again, the time has come for me to upgrade or stay stagnant so now, I cannot siam the ultimate confrontation anymore.

July 08 will be the day Den starts his 2 year war to command and conquer his inner demons by taking on ACCA. Will my lucky stars still shine on me?
