A&J, TSO and I were discussing where to go for dinner on 20 Sept when Adrian suggested going to
Indulgz. Why leh? I ask. Oh, cuz Xiaxue did a
food review and since it's her 4th food tasting for the restaurant, we tot it couldn't be too bad, and so off we go to Indulgz

The ambience is not too bad but I tot the place is abit too small though, not many tables around, so being full house doesn't really mean biz is good, if u know wat I mean? But then technically it's still a full house, nontheless.

And erm, since we were not invited to do any food review, in fact limbei has to pay in order to do this food review, so we can't afford to order everything on the menu like Xiaxue, so for a start, no bubbly champagne =(
We did start off with the Classic Caesar Salad though. I was having a mild case of LS in the day so well I didn't really eat this. Anyway A&J commented that the TCC version tasted better though.

Next, the soup. We too had
Truffle and Wild Mushroom Soup. Taste ok nia leh. For soup that cost $7.50, I would expect them to come in a proper soup bowl and not in a plate leh

The supposedly best selling (and most expensive too @$8.90) soup in the restaurant
Crab Chowder Soup. Yup, the orangey stuff you are seeing are actual real crab meat, not those artifical red and white thingy you call crab sticks or seafood sticks. Comments? Refer to above. And oh, unlike the serving that Xiaxue and friends got, our servings got real crab meat lah true but definitely not big chunky bits though. Not fair!

Entree so far failed to impress. How about the main courses?
Crab Meat Linguine Alio Olio. This is about the only yummilicious stuff we tasted for the evening leh. Pastas that TSO says nice, is well, nice. Not cuz she's TSO but cuz she knows her pastas.

Oven-baked Pork Ribs. To be fair, this tasted better than it looks. Hahah, dunno why the pix ended up looking like Char Siew. The ribs are juicy and tender. Worth a try.

Do not, however order the
Char-Grilled Ribeye Steak. If you really wanna have affordable ribeye steak that tastes heavenly, Jack's Place is good enuf. At Jack's Place, my ribeye is served in a chuck of round cut meat, even at medium well, the meat is tender and done so perfectly that I'm drooling as I'm blogging, but this? Tsk tsk, first of all, the meat is cut like a piece of chicken cutlet like that, then hor, I asked for medium well but when it was served, we couldn't even cut through the meat, and both Adrian and TSO said they had to swallow the meat cuz the meat is like rubber.
We had to send it back to the kitchen to be redone. It's more manageable the 2nd time round. And one other minus point, the restaurant does not have steak knife leh, so well, you have to be skilful to use a knife meant for cutting fish and chips to cut the steak.

This is supposed to be yet another signature dish.
Signature Slipper Lobster and Scallop Platter. Well, at $29.80, I can't really expect the lobster to be much bigger than it is in the pix. Taste so-so lor, the lobster but we tot the scallops were a bit under cooked. A bit rubbery in the middle.

By the time we went thru the main courses, we were a bit hesitant to try the desserts. Overall verdict? The food is not as fantastic as the food review, or maybe the Chef just happen to be off-form that day? Anyway, I think it deserves 2 soup ladles out of 5 and nope, I wun be going back there again. Unless, I'm invited formerly to do a 2nd food review, hahah.
After dinner, we dropped by
this place which serves some really mean kick-ass margaritas. I know, I know, its a gu-niang drink. But try it and you will like it too. If you are looking for bites, they serve Mexican food, if you know how to appreciate all the creamy gravy and sauces and dressings.

TSO and I had peach during our first visit, so this time round, we picked mango. Not bad too and contrary to what most people think, this gu-niang drink can pack a punch too. A jar of frozen margarita has more kick than a jar of bourbon coke or vodka lime, if you ask me.

For finger foods, we ordered something safe, fried calamari. Still cannot escape the Mexican sauces but it tasted ok though, surprisingly. Hah!

Baked nacho chips with salsa dips. This is FOC.

Joey is fascintated with the napkins and decide to do a traffic light shot.

All in all, we had a good evening. Looking forward to our next outing in Oct =)
